LeiCoT - Leipzig Cohorts and Trial(ist)s
The LeiCoT program (Leipzig Cohorts and Trialists) addresses the high demand for clinical scientists in order to effectively respond to the increasing morbidity and mortality of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
LeiCoT builds on the excellent infrastructure for human cohorts and clinical trials in the fields of metabolism, heart/brain, and cancer at Leipzig University and further expands it in a targeted manner.
The program will create new career pathways, outstanding training opportunities, state-of-the-art tools for clinical research, and long-term perspectives for clinical trial leaders, ultimately aiming to sustainably improve patient care.
We invite physician scientists to apply for the BMFTR-funded Advanced Clinician Scientist Program LeiCoT (Leipzig Cohorts and Trialists) at Leipzig University.
LeiCoT supports the further qualification of clinically and scientifically highly trained physicians in the field of non-communicable diseases (e.g., metabolism, brain/heart, and cancer).
We offer six years of funding with 50% protected research time (release from clinical duties).
Advanced Clinician Scientists are supported through a structured, interdisciplinary curriculum and a comprehensive mentoring program.
We look forward to hearing from you!
